We are very glad to let you know that we have received your son, Élder Henry in our beloved mission. He has come to be part of an extraordinary group of missionaries. We are very excited to have him here and for the edifying experiences that he will have as he invites people to come unto Christ. We know that He has come to be an instrument of the Lord as he helps convert souls, but the most converted soul will be himself.
This past June our beloved President Russell M. Nelson asked the youth, “Are you willing to enlist in the youth battalion of the Lord to help gather Israel?” Thank you for making it possible for your child to form part of this Battalion. We also want to invite you to read the section Doctrine and Covenants 31, and specifically the third verse – “Lift up your heart and rejoice, for the hour of your mission is come; and your tongue shall be loosed, and you shall declare glad tidings of great joy unto this generation.”
It is our hope that you enjoy together as a family the mission of Élder Henry. Next Monday he will write you personally. We would also like to share with you some photos of his arrival.
