The plane ride was terrible. I couldn't sleep at all. But we got there and after doing a few things they took us to the Viña clock and gave us Book of Mormons and a different comp and told us to ask for directions and give it away. It took about an hour and a half. But we were the first ones back. It was fun and far. But luckily they took our suitcases to the place for us. But after that, I got my new comp elder Thackeray from Nebraska. He's good. No complaints.
All the houses here have fences that make it hard to tract and you can't knock on the door. So we don't do that very often but sometimes we just yell "alo" and they usually come out or look through the window. We have every lunch with members and it is always a few course big thing and we don't eat dinner. But at 10ish when we are back we eat a little thing. The food is really good. Lots of Chicken and rice. Good stuff. I still have to try completos but the bread here is fantastic.
My first experience with two-hour church was yesterday. It is really short. But it was good. Not very many youth here. But they don't have to pass the sacrament to many so it isn't that bad.
Right now we have 11 people that want to/are preparing to be baptized. That is a miracle. We use all cash here, I eat eggs and protein drinks in the morning. People here cut off the S's a bit, and they say po every once in a while, and chow is how they say bye. We have a washer but we hang dry our things. And we bus places if things are far away. And it is actually 115,000 pesos my bad.
There was an earthquake last night. I didn' t notice but the buildings here are made for it. Yesterday we had 21 contacts which was crazy considering the 2-hour conversation we had with a guy trying to bible bash us about the Sabbath being on Sunday. It is a cool place. And the hike was fun. Really hot though.
Like it says in Alma 26:27 if we have issues in our lives the Lord will console us. And if we suffer the afflictions with patience then we will have success.
